Plastic is Fantastic Day 2026

The 2nd Plastic is Fantastic Day will take place on 29 October 2026 at the Vienna Museum of Science and Technology in Vienna, Austria.

This year’s event will bring the industry together in one of Vienna’s most inspiring venues for science, technology and innovation - creating a space for fresh insights, valuable connections and a fact-based, positive dialogue about the future of plastics.

• Guided tour through the “Material Worlds” exhibition in the afternoon
• Welcome dinner in the evening at Schlossbräu Brandauer

29 October 2026

• Full Conference Day at the Vienna Museum of Science and Technology:

  The programme combines interactive marketplaces, thought-provoking keynotes, a high-level panel discussion and networking opportunities - creating space for a fact-based exchange on the future of plastics and their role in society, industry and everyday life.

• Gerhard Fehr, applied Behavioral Economist and Executive Behavioral Designer, will explore how behavioral economics and experimentation can help companies better understand decision-making, drive transformation and strengthen innovation.

• David Zaruk, widely known as the Risk-Monger, will explore how risk perception, public narratives and science communication shape the debate around plastics -- and why facts matter more than ever in building a constructive dialogue.
